Location Emissions

One of the primary source of carbon emission in any event is energy used at location of where the event is conducted. Building construction industry encounters for 40% of global emissions. Concrete is one of the top emitter of carbon in building industry. HVAC, Water use, electricity use, LPG gas use constitutes of not only CO2 emissions but other GHGs like Methane, NOx,etc. Lot of buildings are installing renewable sources of energy on their site by either selling it back to grid or using it in building operations. Building's greywater is been reused, waste is being managed on site. Certification programs like LEED, IGBC, GRIHA certifies a building is green and to what percentage. These buildings are sustainable compared to normal buildings.
